I fell in love with Twinspirit’s voice a few years ago and even included her on a past podcast. So when I saw this new video on her facebook page I had to share the love. Twinspirit covers Jill Scott’s He Loves Me at the Sankofa Soul Sessions in Paris. Background vocals by Tonya Dyson.

I can’t wait for some of my favorites like N’Dambi and Van Hunt to release new albums this year so I included them on this week’s Soul 2 Soul. I also included some very soulful newer artists like Jus and TwinSpirit, an old favorite from Taja Sevelle and a classic from Donald Byrd. Plus I ventured to the UK soul pool for Natalie Williams and a 2005 song from Corinne Bailey Rae who has a new album out this week (and who three separate people have told me about over the past few months). See, I do hear you. Sometimes it just takes some time to work everyone in but you know I’m on it.
