Watching Raphael Saadiq’s new video Take A Walk Outside is like watching a 60’s variety show…or at least what I think it would look like if I’d ever seen one. The black & white video has Raphael suited up in his prerequisite shiny suit and skinny tie joined by a bevy of choreographed beauties. Are they wearing swim caps? I do remember those. The lyrics are not necessarily one’s we would have heard in the 60’s but that’s the beauty of Raphael Saadiq, he merges the classic with the new and makes it uniquely his own. Raphael Saadiq has also announced his “Kings Keep Marchin” tour dates. Canadian singer-songwriter, Anjulie and Grammy nominated Janelle Monae will be joining him on select dates. Check those below.
