New Music From Marsha Ambrosius – Heartbreaker
I have to admit I like pretty much everything I’ve heard from Marsha Ambrosius and this new track Heartbreaker from her upcoming August 1st “Yours Truly: Revisited” mixtape (another one?) is no exception, but I’m really frustrated with the length of time it’s taking for her to release a full blown album. Damn you Dre. Well I can’t even rant at Aftermath because on their site (where you can download the song for free) it’s tagged under “former artist.” In all fairness she did just re-release her free Yours Truly mixtape. But enough of my babbling. What do you think of the new song?

Honey, you shouldn’t be surprised about Marsha not having an album yet.. I know I’m not. When I heard Dre signed Marsha… I was UPSET. I KNEW her album was doomed! Dre can’t even put his OWN album out.. much less anybody else!!!
Dion (from Hi-Tek 2) got signed and dropped within months. Rakim was supposed to put out this great album.. HE LEFT. Bilal was the FIRST to sign there and here we are almost TEN YEARS LATER waiting for Bilal!!!
Dre and Aftermath have a HORRIBLE track record… they are THE WORST. You’re gambling with your career signing with them… for real.

She has a gig over here in the UK this weekend where she is supposedly showcasing new material so we’ll see what comes out of that.
She sure is one hell of a talent though so fingers crossed Aftermath get their act together, or let her go elsewhere.
