In the first video, Mos Def gives you a track by track breakdown of producers on his brand new album The Ecstatic. Check the second video as Mos Def explains his statement about being the “best” rapper to Hot 97’s Angie Martinez. He then goes on to talk about a “Battle Of New Orleans” featuring his crew of Black Thought, DOOM, Jay Electronica and Nas versus Jay-Z and his selected 5 emcee team. The proposed “B.O.N.O.” would also feature a battle of marching bands, DJ’s, break dancers, and beatmakers. He says the purse should be $10 million, going to charity of course. Well I guess if you’re going to dream, dream big. Interesting.
