We’re half way there in counting down all the songs on Maxwell’s July 7th release BLACKsummers’night and I must say personally I’m enjoying uncovering the gems on the album one sweet song at a time. Let me also add that I am so happy to hear real instruments on music again. Today’s jewel is Help Somebody from an altruistic Maxwell. This song was actually different for him. I enjoyed it! I too can appreciate the instrument play. Music today seems so factory-built. Artists allow most if not all melody to come from beat machines. That it why I love Maxwell and the whole neo-soul genre because they embrace an element in music that breathes life into a song.
