This Moment Is For V
Excuse me while I scream. Ok, thanks I’m back. If you’re not up on V aka Valvin Roane II, then you’re missing out on some of the best music you’ve never heard. Matter of fact, I’ve never met anyone who’s had anything but the highest of praise for his talents. Besides singing backup for Jill Scott and writing for DJ Jazzy Jeff’s Touch Of Jazz camp, V put out one of my favorite albums The Revelation Is Now Televised showcasing his truly amazing voice and incredible writing talent. I had a blast interviewing him and listed his album as one of the best of 2006 (and he stills represents both on his myspace page. Thanks V). I absolutely LOVED V’s album and couldn’t wait to hear more. The wait is over. V’s released a new single “This Moment” and is scheduled to release an album on 3/17/09.

update – Feb. 1 – V’s added another song “Gone Away” on his myspace page
As soon as I got the blog notification from his myspace page, I went and purchased the single. It’s now playing on MY myspace page and in my ears. I admit to sleeping on V when people mentioned him to me in 2006 — but it was 2007 (4DaSoul) that led me to the road of redemption and I haven’t looked back since. I’ve been singing his praises ever since!!
