Erykah pays her respect to American pop culture by recasting some familiar images and videos but can you name all the album covers she recreates?

I LOVE Erykah and EVERYTHING she does!!!! FOR REALIO!! I was FIENIN’ for a new Badu video for SO LONG, so now I got my fix! :)
I can definitely name all of the hip-hop covers… & the Parliament…. the others I THINK I know, but I’m not sure.
—Rob aka R7..oh and the Grace Jones & Beatles..
—Rob aka R7I am sooooo feeling this song and this video…*sigh* Erykah is back!
—SimoneLovin’ this song and the concept for the video!! Go head Erykah! I think I know a few of the covers…Eric B and Rakim, Nas, Grace Jones, etc. but I know some stumped me.

I think I missed two.
—Dan Tha FanEarl Wind and Fires Head to the Sky was in there also
—KH EDclecticOkay, the one that had me stumped… LaBelle!!
—Dan Tha FanDan, I have NO idea what the monkey at the end meant… I was more curious about the “Hey Ya” parody…. was she just paying homage, was she trying to send a message to her baby daddy? *shrug*
—Rob aka R7LOL! A worldwide “I miss you boo!”? hmmm…interesting theory Kidd!
—Dan Tha Fanglad to see you got most Dan but I can’t believe no one got the Rufus album with Chaka. I love that album for more than just it’s cover too ;-)
here’s what I saw in order
Rufus ft chaka
—tabooDiana Ross

Ohio Players (okay needs to make that into a shirt)
Minnie Ripperton
Labelle Chamelleon

Good eye on the Rufus cover taboo.
—Dan Tha FanThis video is also a clear plea to music lovers to SUPPORT AND BUY GOOD MUSIC!
In an age where CD sales are down and popular music is watered down Erykah is paying homage to a day and a mentality where people supported their favorite true-blue artists. If we truly respect these artists then we’d support them by buying their albums and encouraging others to do so as well. As my friend Van Dell Savage would say: “these days you buy a great album not for the album itself, but so that the artist(s) will be encouraged to make the next one.”
