Conversation with Joe

This is not your average Joe. Joe Thomas, the preacher’s kid from Columbus Georgia with the common name and uncommonly exceptional voice remains one of the smoothest and possibly most under rated artists of our time. The multi-talented singer/songwriter/producer whose achievements include chart-topping collaborations, billboard hits and platinum selling status returns with his smooth brand of sultry soul on his sixth album, a rarity in today’s music industry. Joe is back with a new single “If I Was Your Man” from his highly anticipated album Ain’t Nothing Like Me, due in stores April 24th. The album features Nas, Papoose and Yung Joc with production from Jermaine Dupri, Dre & Vidal, Tim & Bob, Brian Michael Cox, Stargate and Sean Garrett.
In this conversation we get to know Joe a little better as he talks about his new album, his ultimate collaboration, his ideal woman and he tells us why he’s a romantic.

—Jacquie KannemeyerI have most of his Joe’s albums and I had to see this man perform in person. I got to see Joe perform at a club in Miami called Barchettas. It was hot, even the fellas paid homage and he has a dedicated fan here. I believe he has a humble spirit which is reflected in all of his music and in person while performing. I look forward to the next album and the next one after that and all of his releases. I think he is a powerhouse. lastly, I think what keeps him on te top of his game is the fact that sometimes he gets missing-not always in the public eye-mysterious…I like that.
—RoyalJoe was supposed to perform on november 15th 2008 at Zurich in Switzerland. To my disbelief joe did not show up. Can anybody tell me as to why Joe was to disappoint his fan community at Zurich Switzerland. Having almost all his beautiful albums I really was looking forward to seeing him in reality….

FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO DON’T KNOW…JOE’S NEXT CD DROPS ON TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 23, 2008…AND IT’S CALLED “JOE THOMAS, NEW MAN” AND HIS NEXT CD DROPS ON FEBRUARY 10, 2009…AND IT’S CALLED “SIGNATURE” GO GET BOTH WHEN THEY DROP….FROM YOUR TRUE NUMBER ONE FAN!
—Beverly M.-BEVERLY M.-
I copped Joe’s new album “New Man.” It is nice with a lot of heavy hitting beats, great subject matter, nice flows, hooks/melodies. The first single “ER/Emergency.” is just great. I also like “We Need to Roll,” “That’s my Word,” “True Colors” and other joints. Although I like the album,I believe his next album “Signature” will have more of what I am used to and more of his sensual character reflected in it based on the snippets I have heard; I hope his next album will have a few more softer beats, natural or live instruments. This album is good however most of beats on the songs seem equipment-manufatured or not natural. And I know Joe plays a variety of instruments. I will continue to enjoy this album and anticipate “Signature,” since he written a lot of the songs.
