That Robin Thicke is a BEAST, I keep his joint in rotation. He has terrible stage presence though. But the man sho can sang. Excellent writing, production, well put together project.

I really don’t know if Monica was ever ‘wholesome’… even when she was a teen she had that ‘edge’ on her… I think her record company TRIED to cover it up by making her sing more ‘pop’ friendly songs & her participating in every gospel event is another good ‘front’…. But, I could see right through that image… (just like I can almost see right through her wardrobe on this album cover… LOL)
What she NEEDS is an album that gives her some songs she can SANG on again… instead of giving her those non-singing songs fit for Cassie & Ciara.
JAH….I think it has to be the No. 2 pencil… those big pencils would be too thick to reach her eardrum… LOL
I remember liking some of Beck’s stuff back when he was crazy & off-the-wall…. but the most recent stuff I heard has been sad, serious & depressing…… I can’t mess with that.

—kn0519I agree with R7 about Monica. She’s been hood ever since the beginning, but they tried to sell her off as the innocent school girl type! Now, she letting it all hang out (literally) with her latest release. When I heard the track “Sideline Ho” a few weeks ago, I knew she was a long way from the “Don’t Take It Personal” days of old!
Keep your eyes open…I see Beyonce doing the same thing in the next few years! Letting her inner-ghetto really shine for all of the world to see.

I’m diggin’ both Thicke & Sleepy’s albums…. although, it does seem odd to hear Lil Wayne so much on the album…. and you know I’m grateful they put “I Can’t Wait” on Sleepy’s album… it’s worth it JUST for that song… that’s my jam!!
—R7SoulkiddI know Monica…(see okayplayer) and she is suburban hood..she hangs out in the HOOD though and all the friends and some of the fam is hood as hell(which of us cant be when provoked) but some are just alley..anyhoo, Sleepy is not a sleeper..he has a solid 7 out of 13 which in today’s market is a solid joint. Bought Monica because I have to support Atlanta. It isn’t bad at all..I have heard worse. I am waiting for that Darien to drop..I dig that project to deff..also, for those who havent picked it up..you should check out that Sunz of Soul Soldierz Stories..that is some hot production..dude’s verses arent Common or T.I status(yes, I did compare the two in the same sentence) but it is definitely worth the cop..Peace..
