Friday The 13th Mix
I admit it, I am a little superstitious. I try not to walk under ladders and I cross my fingers for luck. However some people take it very seriously. Have you ever wondered why Friday the 13th is considered such an unlucky day? Read more about it here.
Luckily I'm not so superstitious that I go hide under the bed until the 14th so I put together a radio.blog to fit the occasion. When else would I get the rare opportunity to do a Friday the 13th radio.blog? (OK, January 13, 2006 is on a Friday but that's a long time away, lol). Songs with words in the title like lucky, magic, karma, deja vu seemed to fit.
To start it off, I picked what probably could be the anthem for the day, "Superstitious" by Stevie Wonder. Today is also Stevie's 55th birthday. I wanted to include Teddy Pendergrass' song "Bad Luck" but I couldn't find it. But then again, that would have made the radio.blog 13 songs. Hmmmmm, maybe I'm more superstitious than I thought, lol. What are some of your superstitions or some really strange ones you've heard about?
