Me'shell N'degeocello - Dance of the Infidel

This has been a hectic week for me and I haven't had the time to put together any radio.blogs but that doesn't mean you don't get some great music. I decided to upload Me'shell N'degeocello's Dance of the Infidel to a radio.blog because it's on heavy rotation and I did afterall say it was one of my top 5 albums of the year so far.

Dance of The Infidels is her sixth album with her new group, the Spirit Music Jamia and features Roy Hargrove, Jack DeJohnette, Don Byron, Oliver Lake, Kenny Garrett, Michael Cain, Brandon Ross, Gregoire Maret, Mino Cinelu, Wallace Roney, Oran Coltrane, Joshua Redman, Gene Lake, and special guest vocalists Lalah Hathaway, Cassandra Wilson, and Sabina Sciubba.

Supposedly Verve passed on the project which is why it was released only in France initially. The CD is available now at Amazon or you can wait until the U.S. release on June 21. Let me know what you think.
