New Year, New Layout

I have to thank the Design Goddess Lis for this beautiful new layout. I'm calling this the Honey Diva Layout. I don't know if it was the hair, the attitude, or maybe it was my inner diva, but I was drawn to it. She definitely has that look, confident and sexy...all the things I want to be when I grow up, lol.

We're still tweaking a few things layout wise but everything should be working OK. If not, let me know. I have learned a few things through the whole process.
1. Lis is a patient genius. No matter how weird my requests were or how many times I said "uh oh, I messed something up", she made it work. Thanks Diva!
2. The security flaws aren't the only difference between IE and Mozilla. So if you aren't using Mozilla Firefox, why not?. Plus, as much work as Lis put into making it "look right" for the 15% of my visitors who use it (including me), you better go get it now, LOL.
3. Black is my new favorite color even though purple still "rains" for me (yeah I know I spelled it wrong). I even have a musical tribute to His Royal Badness somewhere on the page, but you'll have to navigate your way to find it). But the way that black pops up when you click on a category...I'm lovin it!

As you can tell, I'm really feeling the new layout. I hope you enjoy it too.

On a non-design note, I need some help, help, help with my comments! They are slower than molasses on a winter day. I deleted some archives, still slow. I turned MT off but that didn't speed it up so I turned it back on. I'm only rebuilding pages on an "as needed" basis and still it takes forever for a commenter to post. By the way to those of yall who wait through the slow process, bless you, I appreciate it! So if anyone has any solutions please get at me, honeysoul(AT)gmail.com. And I don't have to stay on MT, me and her don't get along anyway, lol.

I like logo and the colors, but the font of text is ugly. What is it- Times New Roman? I think Tahoma would suit the site better.

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried "tahoma" but it looked too bulky. It was arial at first and I changed it to times, so I'm sure you will be seeing several and I try new combinations :-)

YOU did all the work sis - so the kudos goes to you! i liked the font personally, but you know what they say about opinions... you gotta do what works for you gurra, and only you ;-)

hny honey!!!! huggz!

I couldn't have done it without you sis. I have tried several fonts but am going back to the one on my old blog because I liked it, so I am doing what works for me, thanks for the advice ;-)

I likes. I likes. The logo is the hawtness. It so exemplfies you. I'm indifferent about the font but I see Hashim's point.

Thanks KB! You are seeing a different font than what Hashim was speaking about. I've changed it again and the new one works for me ;-)

wowwer! me likes! kudos to both you and the lis woman for a splendid job! I especially like the font now, it really fits with the design! And it don't take long for me when I post a comment, at least not on my end. Have a spiffy New Year!

Thanks Greggy, that's a real compliment coming from you, Mr. Artist ;-)

Very nice new look. Reminds me that I need to freshen up 'Move the Crowd'

Aight, I had to add that the way the stuff appears in the right column is dope! But why not use the same layout for your individual archive pages?

I'm glad you added that comment. Apparently you and Lis think alike, it just took me a minute to catch on, LOL.

Happy New Year to you and I LOVE the layout, font included!

Thanks Cheryl! The credit goes to Lis for the layout. I'll take credit for the font, LOL
