My Top 25 Songs of 2004

First of all I would like to acknowledge and thank all the wonderful commenters and fellow bloggers (yes that means you) I have come across since I started blogging wayyyy back in August of this year. You all have really made this fun and worthwhile for me. Special thanks to those who I would sit at a lunch table with if we were still in high school...KB, EJ, Todd, Berry, Mike, Greggy, Ceecee, Simone and of course my ace boon, my road dawg, (and all those other terrible slang names we used back in the day) would be my gurl Lis. We'd be the ones dressing alike and gossiping about everybody, LOL.

Now on to the list. I am not a music critic or writer (rolling my eyes at the smartazzes who are thinking...yeah we could tell, LOL) so I can't verbally express why each of these songs are my favorites. A lot of these barely got radio airplay. My only qualification for my "best songs of 2004" was that they moved me in some way...whether just tapping my foot, nodding my head to the beat, getting up and dancing or best of all, they moved me emotionally.

Here is my lyrical tribute to my best songs of 2004 (in order of their appearance):

Music, You Make Life So Good! You got me Falling easy, like a Summer Breeze. Got me Slippin and wondering What In The World? Is it Midnight in Bahia? The Fact Is even if I'm Down Here in Hell With You or between A Bullet and a Target, I'd do Anythang for Pieces of you...For Real! Just Call My Name, Bandy Bandy or Original Bitch and I'll Count The Ways and worship you like Aganju(?). Whatever the Situation, I want to get Closer to you. I'll go to the Ghetto, Rock it and Drop It...Like It's Hot. You teach me to be True To Myself and to remember I'm Livin For Today. How do I feel about you music? Love Is The Word because you make me feel Free!

Ha! Who said I wasn't a writer? (again I roll my eyes at the smart azzes, LOL)

Happy New Year Yall! Be safe, and see you next year ;-)

Awww, I'd share a lunch table with you too. :-) Great rb, as usual, and right on time as I was just looking for something to listen to.

Happy New Year!

Mike.
